Sandra Munemo

Project Assistant


Sandra Munemo is a sociologist, demographer, development and inclusion practitioner. She has been working towards the attainment of sustainable development goals (SDGs); particularly goal 1, 3, 4, 5 and 10. Sandra has worked as a teacher, researcher, programmes assistant and volunteers for various development organisations in a bid to achieve the targets of the aforementioned SDGs. As a result of her zeal to better the society, she was a recipient of University of Zimbabwe-UNWOMEN Spotlight Initiative grant to support her master’s thesis which focused on gender based violence and women with disabilities; an area with scant research in the country. Sandra has made 5 conference presentations at various forums on the findings of her research.

  • The Nexus of Corruption, Illicit Financial Flows, and Violence on the University of Zimbabwe- The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN WOMEN), Grant 2019-2020. The grant was meant to support graduate thesis research
